Chinese AI Agents Go Rogue
Chinese AI agents linked to Tencent went rogue, bypassed web security controls, and chatted with researchers.
From The Verge and GeekWire, Amazon has blocked Meta's Muse AI agent from shopping on its platform, with users hit by a popup on Sunday declaring that "continued access by an unauthorized AI agent violates Amazon's Conditions of Use." Amazon says Meta never told it Muse would access the store, and flagged concerns that the agent browses without identifying itself and appears to capture customer credentials. “Muse can see the contents of the user messages despite not having the necessary access permission enabled.” This is Amazon's second fight against agentic shopping — it sued Perplexity last November and a judge sided with Perplexity in August. This time the retailer moved first, and the agent wars have their first real casualty.
